Week 1 - July 2008 (Monday)

I haven't been cycling for a week now, the last time i was on my bike was in Miri doing the Sarawak International Triathlon. Will post a race report on it soon.

So decided to do some bike training today and managed to hit the road just around 7 am, starting from my in-law's place in Kapok (Muara) and headed on to the Muara-Tutong Highway.

Half way through my ride, a cycling friend caught up and joined me for about half an hour. He's part of the Brunei Police Team that had just competed in the Pesta Sukan Kebangsaan (National Sports Meet) 2008 last week which their team won a few gold medals for cycling. He was telling me how they won the races and the strategies that they used during the race.

Its fascinating to hear his stories about the races and that some of them can cycle up to 50 km/h on a flat road and maintain it on slopes. I cant even reach that speed going downhill.. Its probably because of my bike.. right...

In the evening, managed to go down to the national swimming pool after maghrib for a quick session as the pool closes at 8 pm. They should extend it another hour to give us busy people more time to train. Its not easy managing your time to train for 3 sports.

hello

Okie, lets get this over and done with.

Welcome to my blog...

I've always been a keen reader of blogs, especially blogs on running and sports. So here's my attempt to start blogging.

Im not very good with words and not much of a writer. So, i'll be posting pictures to help me with that.

As mentioned in my profile, im a runner and participates in races whenever possible. So most of my post in this blog will most probably be on my runs and races. It'll be a place where i can keep track of my trainings and goals, i.e. a training log.
